A peshtemal towel, also known as a Turkish towel or hammam towel, is a traditional cotton or linen towel that originated in Turkey. It is known for its lightweight and absorbent nature, making it a popular choice for use in Turkish baths, or hammams, where it is used for bathing, drying, and even wrapping around the body.
Peshtemal towels are typically made from high-quality cotton or linen fibers that are hand-loomed and then dyed with natural vegetable dyes. They are woven in a flat, tight pattern, which gives them their distinctive look and texture.
In addition to being used as a bath or beach towel, peshtemal towels have a wide range of other uses.
Overall, peshtemal towels are versatile and can be used in a variety of ways, making them a useful addition to your home or travel bag.
All our products are produced in Türkiye.
Organic cotton is cotton that is grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Instead, organic farmers rely on natural methods such as crop rotation, composting, and beneficial insects to manage pests and enrich the soil. Organic cotton farming also prohibits the use of genetically modified seeds.
Organic cotton is grown using sustainable farming practices that focus on soil health and biodiversity. By avoiding the use of harmful chemicals, organic farming helps to protect the health of farmers and their communities, as well as the environment.
In addition to being better for the environment and human health, organic cotton is also softer and more breathable compared to conventional cotton. It is also hypoallergenic and less likely to cause skin irritation or allergies.
